Attention Disney fans: Mufasa: The Lion King, one of the greatest Disney classics of all time, is set to receive a sequel this year. Strictly speaking, however, the upcoming live-action/CGI film is actually a prequel, as it tells the story of Mufasa’s early life and how Simba’s father became the Lion King in the first place. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 19, 2024.
