a new movie trailer multidimensional has dropped, revealing two new characters, as well as a public beta that will launch this July.

Prospective MultiVersus players can already sign up for a closed alpha test starting May 19th. But for those who didn’t attend or don’t want to sign up, there will be an open beta sometime in July. The open beta was announced alongside a trailer for the movie, most notably the addition of two new characters: Tasmania Demons and the kindest robotic steel giants around.

It’s a movie trailer, and there’s nothing special about the gameplay. But it did give us some interesting pairings, like the caped crusader Batman and the endlessly hungry Shaggy. The trailer also shows Shaggy going Goku-esque as a powerhouse, delivering a pretty powerful punch to the wisecracking Bugs Bunny.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Taz’s revelations pair him with Harley Quinn, who doesn’t seem to mind very much. More shenanigans followed, before Superman came along, claiming the mess looked like a job to him, and then being cut off by the famous Superman fan Iron Giant. Although this feels a bit mean, after all, the Iron Giant is not a gun.

MultiVersus was revealed back in November, and it’s clearly Warner Bros. vs. Smash Bros. The unique selling point of MultiVersus is its focus on cooperative play, where players work together to defeat their opponents, offering unique moves that are particularly relevant to the cooperative element.

There will obviously be single-player options, but generally pairing up various Warner Bros. IPs seems to be the main thing the game wants to do.The full version is not out yet, but the developer player first game Working closely with members of the fighting game community to get it right in early alpha testing. With a studio name like this, you’d think their concerns and criticisms were being heard. However, it’s free whenever it’s released.
