Nvidia’s new and extremely fast RTX 4090 has been on the market for almost two weeks. In a new survey, we want to know from you whether you have already bought it or what your plans are in this regard.
The release of the RTX 4090 did not go without certain snags. Basically, the card is available in stores, but good offers in shops are often sold out quickly, the prices are usually well above the RRP of Nvidia’s Founders Edition (1,949 dollars) and Ebay accordingly quickly saw the first scalper offers.
Current reports do not necessarily give hope that the situation will improve in the near future, quite the opposite. You can find out more about this in the article Buying an Nvidia RTX 4090 will probably become more and more difficult

What makes the RTX 4090 an exceptional graphics card
Nvidia’s new flagship is an exceptional graphics card in more ways than one. From the player’s point of view, the extreme leap in performance that it has to offer compared to the RTX 3000 generation is particularly relevant. All important data and facts can be found in our detailed test of the RTX 4090.
No less important are the high acquisition costs. The almost 2,000 dollars estimated by Nvidia are already a house number, but the card is often offered in stores for 2,500 dollars and even higher sums – remarkable prices that we otherwise only know from the times of the mining boom.
Last but not least, the potentially very high power consumption, which we have already addressed in a separate article with a view to the required power supply, is also extreme. After all, the officially specified 450 watts have only very rarely been exceeded by custom design manufacturers such as Asus, MSI and Co. You can read in this article how well Gigabyte’s custom design Geforce RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24G performs in comparison to Nvidia’s Founders Edition:
