Naraka: Bladepoint is finally coming to PlayStation 5, revealed during last night’s Naraka Fest livestream July 13 Previously only available on Xbox and PC. Meanwhile, Battle Royale will also be free to play on all platforms once it launches on PS5.
The news coincides with the celebration of Naraka: Bladepoint’s staggering 20 million player milestone since launch. What an amazing feat!
If you’re one of the people who paid for the game, you’ll see some form of compensation. All players who have purchased the game since its launch in 2021 will be rewarded with a certain amount of in-game gold coins; the amount depends on the version of the game they own. Additionally, players who play the game through Xbox Game Pass will be automatically upgraded to the Ultimate Edition of Naraka: Bladepoint. It all makes more sense now that developer 24 Entertainment is “not at all” concerned about lost sales when Naraka: Blades hits Game Pass.
In addition to Naraka: Bladepoint being available to more players, some new content will be added to the game. A new mode will be added called Capture the Spirit Well, a 12v12 PvP mode that plays like most Capture the Flag game modes. New hero Tessa, said to be an ancient fox demon with the ability to confuse enemies and capture their souls, will also join the roster of characters.
There’s also the new Twin Halberd weapon, tons of PlayStation 5-exclusive goodies, and upcoming Veteran Rewards. Of course, players can also look forward to a host of in-game events and rewards to celebrate the second anniversary of Naraka: Blades.
You can play Naraka: Blades now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with purchase or through Xbox Game Pass. The game will also be available on PS5 starting July 13 and will be free to play on all platforms. Would you give it a try? Or are you one of the 20 million players who already own the game? let us know.
