A veteran of the independent scene, Nathan Vella takes place this year in the Annapurna Interactive team.
Nathan Vella, co-founder of Capybara Games (Below, Grindstone) joins the ranks of the publishing subsidiary Annapurna Interactive. His duties in the management team have yet to be determined. We know that he will bring his expertise to society when interacting with independent game developers.
Vella had left his position as president at Capybara Games last September, a studio he had already occupied since 2003. He was also one of the founding partners of the Indie Fund and helped invest in more than 40 independent titles. In a press release, he said:
Annapurna Interactive quickly proved to be one of the best publishers, and I doubt I can find another one with a better combination of skill and love for games. I am very excited to use my experience to help these great creators develop the best games possible.
Annapurna has distinguished herself in the edition of numerous successes, such as What Remains of Edith Finch, Gone Home, Telling Lies, Kentucky Route Zero, Journey, or Outer Wilds.
