Naughty Dog is working on a multiplayer title and seeks to convey “the same level of ambition and quality” as their previous works.

This is a unique opportunity to have an impact on your discipline and create an experience that will be enjoyed and shared by millions of players around the world. “

Two years ago the developer herself shared a message about the decision to not include a multiplayer mode

in order to The Last of Us 2. However, they assured that they were working on an online project that it would not be part of the apocalyptic play.

They claimed to be “as fond of Factions mode as the rest of our community” and sent us into the future for more news. This revelation coincides with the recent statements from Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, who pointed out that “who says there can’t be great stories in multiplayer experiences?”.

We may be talking about Factions mode for The Last of Us 2 has undergone a major change and has become a standalone title.
