The NCIS team solves the first case in a backdoor pilot episode in the series “JAG – On behalf of honor”. In the episode “Eisige Zeiten” of the eighth season of “JAG”, the main character, Commander Harmon Rabb, is suspected of the murder of Lieutenant Loren Singer.
The Navy CIS team is supposed to solve the murder of Singer. While the JAG episodes are primarily geared towards what is happening in court, Navy CIS focuses on the criminal investigation. The chief of the unit is Special Agent Gibbs. He’s a true hero, yes his life story is riddled with blows of fate. He leads his team with a firm hand and is a fair boss. At Gibbs rules his employees have to keep up.

The NCIS team is led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon). His team consists of specialists who have changed again and again over 16 seasons. Audience favorites were and are: Agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo (played by Michael Weatherly, now leading actor in Bull), Forensic scientist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), coroner Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum), technology expert Tim McGee (Sean Murray) and agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo).
Navy CIS: Production
The series is set in Washington DC, but filming will take place in the city of Valencia, California. Therefore, only a few central scenes are shot in Washington, while the exterior shots are mostly from California.
The executive producers are Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. However, there were always arguments on the set, not only between the producers, but also between Bellisario and the actor from Gibbs, Mark Hamon. Not only the problems with each other, but also a writers’ strike at the end of 2007 ensured that there were always conflicts during the development of a new episode.
