NBA 2K23: These innovations are in MyTEAM mode

Until the release on September 9th, the innovations in NBA 2K23 will be presented in more detail compared to the predecessor. Today we continue with the MyTEAM mode.

2K also worked on the MyTEAM mode for this year’s NBA 2K23 and added new game elements and updates here as well. Among other things, you can look forward to new maps and rewards as well as the introduction of Triple Threat Online: Co-Op and the waiver of contracts. The annual Unlimited Tournament also returns here – each separately on PS4/Xbox One and PS5/Xbox Series X/S.

Above all, Triple Threat Online: Co-Op should be interesting for many gamers, after all it will be the first time that there will be the opportunity to compete with friends in the cooperative 3v3 game.

The highlights of MeinTEAM in NBA 2K23 are officially stated as follows:

• Triple Threat Online: Co-Op: For the first time in MeinTEAM, players can team up with friends to compete in 3v3 cooperative online matches, whether in party mode, co-op or competitive play.
• Unlimited: The brand new prestige levels allow players who have reached the top level to start over and unlock even more rewards. With every victory and every defeat, you earn points for leveling up. Wins also open safes. In addition, the leaderboards are back and show the statistics of friends and top players in the MeinTEAM community. The names of the players in the top 10 are marked with a special icon. You also get a special symbol for completing all levels and prestige levels of a season.
• Clutch Time single player: In the new single player variant of Clutch Time, a fast-paced 4-dot-line mode, players can compete with their best team of five against the AI.
• Starter Cards: Players have their choice of All-Stars Ja Morant, Jimmy Butler, and Joel Embiid to top off their collection. With their starting card choices, they can then compete in a triple threat match to make their final decision. After playing 10 games in any MyTeam mode, players will be awarded a 90 Rating Amethyst Fred Jones card to boost their team.
• Exhibitions: For friendlies, players can now send cards outside of their 13-player lineup on vacation trips around the world to return with a special reward for their mission.
• Trophy Case: Completing a team’s trophy case can earn high-profile players from each franchise. With 15 event maps for each NBA franchise, showcasing key moments in their history, players can earn a ‘Pink Diamond’ player for each team.
• MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament**: $250,000 is up for grabs again this year in the MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament, this time on both console generations. Anyone who reaches the Emerald level in the new Unlimited before the first GameDay on October 15th can participate. Finalists meet in person to crown the $50,000 Console Champions and $200,000 Grand Champions.
