Final Fantasy 14 This weekend broke the Steam concurrent player record again, this time reaching 47,542 concurrent players.
According to official data provided by the Valve platform, “Final Fantasy 14” once again broke the record of simultaneous online players, with more than 47,000 online players at a time. This exceeds the previous record-41,200-which was set before the launch of Shadowbringers in 2019.
This also does not account for players who jumped into Eorza on PS4 and PS5.
What is the reason for the influx of players? The popular World of Warcraft Twitch anchor Asmongold launched Final Fantasy 14 to see what the fuss was about, and then found himself surrounded by online halls because of players flocking to it.

Asmongold is not the only player currently trading MMO. Earlier this year, we reported that Blizzard lost approximately 2 million players in the last fiscal quarter, of which approximately 11 million players have left games such as World of Warcraft Nostalgia and World of Warcraft Shadow Kingdom in the past few years.
