Nevertheless, Zack Snyder and Netflix continue to work together. With his multi-part sci-fi epic Rebel Moon, the director of films such as 300, Watchmen and Man of Steel attempted to create his own Star Wars. According to the press, this attempt failed miserably and even the director’s cut can do little to save it.
Next up is 19. September 2024 Snyder’s animated series Twilight of the Gods on Netflix, which is based on Norse mythology. It remains to be seen whether and in what form the director and the streaming service will continue to work together.
Zack Snyder, for example, would have no shortage of ambitious plans for more Rebel Moon. But it cannot be ruled out that it will suffer a similar fate to Army of the Dead 2.
