In various interviews, Joe Goldberg’s interpreter, Penn Badgley, hinted that a season 5 of YOU would probably see the light of day. He even said that the Netflix-produced series’ ending should be memorable. Yes, but here it is, the American SVOD platform had not yet formalized the return of YOU for a fifth season. Now it’s done. Supporting video, Netflix just announced this YOU would come back for a final season. Yes, you read that right, Joe Goldberg’s adventures (and the misadventures he brings to others) will end very soon. 2024, without further information on the publication period.
A ‘delightfully twisted’ ending for Joe Goldberg?
For this fifth season, the series will see a small behind-the-scenes change. Showrunner Sera Gamble, who has run the show since its inception, will be replaced by Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo. The two men were already executive producers on the series YOU. Sera Gamble announced the news in a statement.
