One last season to save the world

Since the start of the fourth season on June 13, the hype surrounding The Boys has been enormous. While Prime Video’s superhero series is a hit every week, a very serious competitor is also preparing to reappear. In fact, after two years of waiting, Umbrella Academythe Netflix superhero series, returns next 8 August for a fourth and final season that promises to be heavy. To prepare fans for this return, the American giant has just unveiled a new trailer, available at the top of the page, which presents us clearly the challenges of the coming season.

So after the third season finale, nothing is the same for our heroes. After a final sequence in which Sir Reginald reveals his project SpoilAdvertisementHidewhich involved manipulating his children to carry out his disastrous plan all the cards are reshuffled for the siblings. In just six episodes, the series has to solve many problems. Because after they regained their powers, The Umbrella Academy must understand Sir Reginald’s true motives and react to it in certain circumstances. All of our favorite heroes appear in the trailer, including two members of the Sparrow Academy, who have apparently survived the previous conflicts. As far as we know, in February 2023 Netflix has formalized the addition of new actors to the castincluding Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, The Last of Us), David Cross (Arrested Development) and Katharine King So (The Recruit). We can’t wait to find out more next month.

Children like no other

The Umbrella Academy tells the story of 43 infants, all born with powers. These children were all born on the same day to women who were not pregnant and are not related to each other. Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire who lives in opulence, decides to adopt seven of them to form the Umbrella Academya school that prepares them to save the world. But as they reach puberty, their bonds dissolve and everyone goes their separate ways. Now in their thirties, the siblings meet again at Sir Hagreeves’ funeral and some of them decide to join forces to conduct an investigation into their father’s death. The series is based on a collection of comics and graphic novels created and written by Gerard Way.
