The Netflix platform has just decided to offer a sequel to their series that shocked many people when it was released.
In 2022 we could discover the Netflix series Dahmer, which aims to be a realistic portrayal of the life of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, from his adolescence to his arrest and conviction for his crimes. Note that the series is quite dark and disturbing as it specifically explores the criminal’s complex psychology and the “facts” that contributed to his descent into insanity. Behind this morbid work is the director Ryan Murphy, the creator of many series such as American Horror Story
A Netflix sequel that is yet to be controversial
So real that the show caused controversy and scandal during the series’ airing on Netflix, particularly in the family of the killer’s victims, but also in that of Dahmer himself. The sister of Errol Lindsey, one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims, criticizes Netflix and Ryan Murphy, for example, for not having warned the relatives. Despite everything, the American streaming company dares to offer a sequel Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez.
In the teaser above we can hear the 911 call (American Emergencies), this is an echo of the real call the brothers made after the murder to clear themselves of the assassination. Yes, human horror knows no bounds. Netflix has scheduled the release of this new series for 2024
