The MMORPG Neverwinter just won’t die. The next expansion is scheduled to be released in July.
Arc Games and Cryptic Studios are continuing to work on the MMORPG Neverwinter and have announced the next add-on, “Mountain of Flame”. This is scheduled to be released on July 16, 2024 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox alike.
The free-to-play online role-playing game includes the Mount Hotenow adventure zone, which was originally introduced at the title’s launch in 2013; this zone is now making a comeback, but in a completely redesigned form. You can also expect an improved version of the “Lair of the Raging Dragon” vault and more.
Mount Hotenow awaits you with dangerous lava flows, ash geysers and Gommoth’s elemental forces. Enemies include fire archons, cultists and other fire-based enemies if you want to take down the mighty fire giant in the depths of the mountain.
In the Raging Dragon’s lair, Ashmadai cultists led by the prophet Rohini have overrun Helm’s Hold to secure the Hex Locus, an artifact that can penetrate the fabric of reality and twist the nature of creatures. Chartilifax now guards the Hex Locus and devours anyone who comes near the artifact.
The new expansion is of course rounded off by a Battle Pass. On the premium path, you can master challenges to obtain the companion Eric the Cavalier, who is based on the character of the same name from the 1983 TV cartoon “Dungeons & Dragons”.
