The Settlers: New Alliances just don’t make it off the ground. The hugely disappointing beta phase was just the beginning. Now the game is on the market and players are annoyed by a number of technical problems.
After the heavily criticized beta, the developers changed some of the gameplay – but these innovations could not really convince Maurice:

The Settlers: New Alliances – This is how Ubisoft wants to save the problem game. Oh well.
crashes and bugs
Since February 17, fans can finally experience the new Settlers game – although that’s not entirely true. Players are struggling with an enormous number of bugs and crashes. On Metacritic only eight player reviews have been received, but they already show a clear trend: The user score is just 2.1 points.
By the way, if you’re wondering why there aren’t any reviews yet and why we haven’t published any reviews either, we’ll explain the background here:

Fans complain loudly, especially on social media platforms. writes like this Sumesh on twitter:
This is so frustrating, so many bugs. The game crashes every ten minutes, I’ve restarted the game over 50 times.
Ray2401 having similar issues and wondering if it even works for anyone:
I’m wondering if anyone has the ability to play the game for more than ten minutes without constantly crashing, as mine crashes every time.
At Kazuya Yuza the crashes seem to be happening over a slightly longer period of time, yet he’s barely making any headway:
The worst thing is that the autosave is totally bad. So every time it crashes, more than half an hour of progress is lost.
Mark Robin is not only annoyed by the immense technical problems, he is also not satisfied with the overall product:
The graphic style is the best in the game. Crashes sure aren’t great, no map generator, no map builder, only 13 missions, very few resources for a settlers game. And many, many crashes. This game costs 59.99.
But there are also few positive voices, as under the Video by strategy game YouTuber Writing Bull. Then Retikolum writes:
I’ve been playing it since yesterday and am very pleasantly surprised.
In his Plus column, Maurice explains why the Settlers game is having such a hard time convincing all fans:

Settler can only fail because it doesn’t stand for anything anymore
