A change in patch 0.12.4 for Escape from Tarkov does not exactly cause enthusiasm in the community. It's about one Balance adjustment at the flea market – the player-centered economy in the survival shooter.
Specifically, the upcoming Tarkov update includes a change in access to the flea market: In the future you will have to reach level 15 with your PMCto trade on the Flea Market. So far, level 5 was sufficient.
We asked for your opinion on the change in our Escape from Tarkov forum thread. A rather negative picture emerged.
Opinions for the upcoming update for Escape from Tarkov are not positive. For GameStar users Robbsen2992, the flea market implemented at the end of 2018 was a real relief:
"For me the flea market was really a blessing because I don't play as often and so far have seen level 5 as the first important stage after which the game became much more fun for me."
Spoona8 user fears that the higher flea market level »the gap between high and low level players could diverge further «. This would make it difficult for newcomers, as they would have to resort to relatively weak weapons, ammunition and armor from low-level retailers. Meanwhile, players with access to the flea market can theoretically buy everything and are therefore better equipped.
"Especially at the beginning it will be very frustrating when you can hardly do PMCs with mid- to high-gear and you are killed with a bullet by PMCs and Scavs because there is no suitable armor."
Player noe12372 finds »It takes too long to reach level 15«:
"I am currently level 15 and have 135 hours of play. Certainly it will be much faster, but it will take a beginner so long to unlock the flea market and that is a little too long in my eyes. However, I did not do any quests because I just don't feel like it and find it boring. "
The experienced player th3_ghost counters that that »Reach level 15 in around five hours of play« can if you complete the quests. This makes the missions indispensable for new players or after a wipe:
"Quests are mandatory. Level 15 can be done in a good 5 hours."
Logically, experienced players can reach the flea market faster after a wipe than someone who has never been to Tarkov before and has yet to learn all the mechanics.

There are also voices on Reddit that don't find the higher entry level for the flea market in Escape from Tarkov bad. Accordingly, a difficult entry for some fans is simply a part of it. User MattyB-02 for example writes:
"Frankly, lvl 15 is not too difficult to achieve. A week of quest hunting and it should be done. I agree that it will be harder for newer players, but I think that could be a positive change."
