Even if the band Aqua wrote the perfect song for “Barbie” with “Barbie Girl” more than 20 years ago, they will apparently not be heard in the upcoming “Barbie” film. Instead, 18 other stars are to contribute music to the soundtrack. Ryan Gosling, who plays Barbie’s friend Ken in the film, also shows off his singing skills. He gives you a foretaste of this in the new trailer just released by Warner Bros.

It gives you a first taste of the kind of humor you can look forward to in the film. In addition, some action scenes are shown. There is also new information about the soundtrack of the film. Like the US magazine Rolling Stone on Instagram reveals, a list with the lineup for the film’s music fluttered into their house.

And that’s something to be proud of. In addition to Ryan Gosling, another world star is involved in the soundtrack in the form of rapper Niki Minaj. Also contributing music will be Ava Max, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, Fifty Fifty, Gayle, Haim, Ice Spice, Kali, Karol G, Khalid, Lizzo, PinkPantheress, Tame Impala and The Kid Laroi. It remains unclear whether this is the complete soundtrack. With a bit of luck, the “Barbie Girl” song will still find its way into the film. In Germany, “Barbie” will start in cinemas on July 20, 2023.
