With the May update, Smilegate brought lots of new content to Lost Ark players, such as the Legion raid Valtan, as well as more activities and a new class. However, a nasty bug crept in with the update, which can cause you big problems, especially in raids and dungeons. Here you can find out what this is all about and what solutions already exist.
If you haven’t heard of the May update yet, we present all the new content in detail in our article:
Lost Ark
The May update brings new raid, class and more
This can happen to you since the update
on Reddit and in the official Lost-Ark-Foren players report that when moving or clicking on an item, it gets stuck on the mouse pointer. Once an item is stuck, it is often impossible to select other items with the mouse, move around, or otherwise interact with the game using the mouse pointer.
Some comments reported that after that it was only possible to exit the game using the Alt + F4 key combination. A video from Reddit shows us what the bug looks like:

The bug must be particularly painful if, as in the video, you are fighting a boss fight and suddenly become a useless spectator. Luckily, there are a few tricks that can help you.
Despite one or the other bug, problems with bots and Pay2Win allegations, Lost Ark is still one of them most played games on Steam. We tell you why in the video:

This is how you solve the problem
Although we cannot guarantee that the proposed solutions from the Reddit-Thread help all players, but at least in some cases they seem to make the bug go away.
- Change territory or enter fortress: A loading screen often helps to get rid of the bug, for example when you enter a new area.
- Switch to another window: Some users also report that switching to another window with the Alt + Tab key combination and switching back to the game fixes the bug.
- Enter character creation menu: Clicking the bottom right menu, navigating to the character creation screen, and then switching back to your character should fix the bug in some cases. This solution should also work within a raid.
- Visit auction house: Also calling up the auction house followed by a click on
to register
seems to have helped in some cases. To do this, however, you must visit an NPC or, if you have a crystalline aura, you can use the companion menu.
If these simple tricks don’t help, the only thing left is you log out of the game or restart it completely. If you want to be on the safe side and don’t want to suddenly find yourself without a mouse pointer in a raid, you should wait for a hotfix or patch that fixes the problem.
