WoW Shadowlands test video – The best expansion in a long time has a big catch
It’s not so long ago that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands improved six of its classes and made some serious changes to the dungeons and raids. The community was very impressed by both.
Now Blizzard is following up again and distributing it with the weekly server restart more dungeons nerfs and class buffsthat should make your WoW life easier. This time, however, the enthusiasm is limited.

After the class buffs: who deals more damage?
According to the plan, the damage of all offensive abilities is simply increased slightly. The developer explains, however, that the values now announced can change again until the update is released. At the moment, however, you can expect the following changes:
- Death Knight (Frost): All damage abilities are increased by five percent. On the other hand, the damage done by PvP talent Chain subcooling reduced by ten percent.
- Demon Hunter (Desolation): All damage abilities are increased by three percent.
- Hunter (Animal Mastery): All damage abilities are increased by five percent.
- Hunter (survival): All damage abilities are increased by five percent.
- Mage (Frost): All damage abilities are increased by three percent.
- Paladin (all): The aura of shadow resistance persists beyond death
- Villain (assassination): All damage abilities are increased by five percent.
- Shaman (reinforcement): All damage abilities are increased by three percent.
- Warlock (destruction): All damage abilities are increased by five percent.
- Warriors (weapons): All damage abilities are increased by three percent.
- Krieger (Furor): All damage abilities are increased by 3 percent.
- Warriors (all): Also reduces the PvP talent Supreme Commander the cooldown of Encouraging scream to 60 seconds.
When will the changes come? As Blizzard explains in the official forum, the aforementioned adjustments will go live with the weekly server restart on February 3, 2021.
This is what the community says about the changes: Lots of players in the official WoW forum as well as on wowhead express incomprehension about the adjustments. For many, it seems as if Blizzard is simply going to strike a sweep and generally increase the damage a bit, instead of dealing with the individual specializations.
The class specialists at wowhead also feel in their analysis the changes are not very helpful because the increased damage is either still too small or the problem is elsewhere.
