Fans of gaming smartphones should mark November 13th in their calendars, because that’s when the Red Magic 10 Pro is expected to be presented.
The manufacturer has already revealed some details, now there is more information about the new cooling system.
In a post on the Chinese microblogging service Weibo (via Gizmochina) James Jiang, General Manager at Red Magic, released more details.
The Red Magic 10 Pro uses a ten-layer cooling system that, according to the manufacturer, reduces the processor temperature by up to 21 degrees Celsius.
Liquid metal for better heat dissipation
For this purpose, Red Magic is using liquid metal as a thermal conductive material for the first time, as we know it from the PS5 (Pro) or from the PC sector. Compared to conventional thermal paste, it has better thermal conductivity.
With the Red Magic 10 Pro, this should improve by 30 percent.
As with the previous models, there will not only be a passive cooling system. Red Magic confirmed that an active fan would again be installed in the new gaming cell phone.
The improved cooling can have real benefits in certain scenarios. This means that lower temperatures prevent the CPU from throttling. Ultimately, this is beneficial for overall performance and can ensure more stable FPS (Frames Per Second) values, especially in games.
Snapdragon 8 Elite and better display
The Red Magic 10 Pro uses the new Snapdragon 8 Elite as the processor. The manufacturer has also published the first details about the built-in display.
Compared to the previous model, the Red Magic 9s Pro, the screen grows from 6.8 to 6.85 inches. This is achieved through thinner screen edges.
The screen-to-body ratio is 95.3 percent, the screen edges are only 1.25 millimeters thick. The resolution is 1.5K (2,688 x 1,216 pixels).
In addition, compared to its predecessor, there is a higher refresh rate of 144 Hertz instead of 120 Hertz and a higher peak brightness. The Red Magic 10 Pro therefore achieves 2,000 nits. For comparison: the 9s model achieved 1,600 nits.
