While we await its release at the start of the school year, Warhammer Space Marine 2 has once again given us a huge slap in the face with a gameplay video full of promising information.
The more we see of Warhammer Space Marine 2, the more we realize that Saber Interactive has outdone itself with this title inspired by the futuristic universe of Games Workshop. For six minutes, the studio presented us with the gameplay of the game as well as the different modes that await us on September 9th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. A program in the service of the Emperor that is as bloody as it is promising.
Warhammer Space Marine 2 delivers another imperial slap in the face
While Warhammer Space Marine 2 was supposed to be released in 2023, this one-year delay seems to have done a lot of good. Visually, the title developed by Sabre Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment is a divine slap in the face. But what fans were waiting for in this sequel to the first game released in 2011 was the gameplay. This too promises to be very successful, as this six-minute support video focuses in particular on the solo (and co-op) campaign, in which we must slaughter seemingly endless hordes of tyrants in battles that are as bloody as they are glorious, reminiscent of the excellent Gears of War franchise.
The video also takes the opportunity to confirm a surprise revealed in advance: a multiplayer mode that will pit Space Marines against their Chaos counterpart. This will make it possible to evolve your genetically modified avatar through different classes, equipment and cosmetics to fight against other players in fierce clashes. There will also be an Operations mode, again with a class system, to carry out short tactical missions in a group of up to three players.
Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment therefore seem to have put their heart and soul into Warhammer Space Marine 2, and it shows very clearly. The wait for fans of this iconic universe will therefore only become more feverish until the release, scheduled for September 9 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
