Geralt from The Witcher 3 is often referred to as "The White Wolf". It is all the more tragic when he has to kill the wolves in the game world because they attack him. A mod now provides a remedy and does the furry four-legged friends to your allies.
How Friendly Wolves Works
This is what the mod does: If you install "Friendly Wolves", all wolf groups, whether normal, alpha or white, count as "enchanted". This means that they no longer attack Geralt and instead support him in fighting other enemies.
Bugs are expected: The developer states that the mod will most likely suffer from some bugs. It is possible that the wolves no longer behave correctly towards prey or farmers and neither attack nor hunt them.
How did the mod come about? The modder is aware that his changes do not quite match the wizard's lore. However, he is a veterinarian and explains that he would like to live with less dead dog-like animals.
Is there more to The Witcher?
Since the development studio of CD Projekt Red started to develop Cyberpunk 2077, video games have become quiet around the witcher. But as the team announced in March 2020, a new part is coming up.

Everyone's talking about The Witcher 4? Let Geralt rest
Its development is expected to pick up speed once work on Cyberpunk 2077 has been completed. So far it is only known that the next game will be called Witcher, but will not have a four in its name. It is therefore quite possible that the next branch will not turn around Geralt.
If you want to play Witcher 3 again in preparation for the next part, you can not only go out with wolves, but also prettish up the graphics with another mod called HD Reworked.
