Battlestate Games has released a new patch for Escape from Tarkov. As can be seen from the patch notes on Twitter, the update focuses on important performance improvements. You can read the patch notes on page 2 of this report.
Recently, complaints from players increased: Many reported annoying micro stuttering and lags that occurred during the raids. The picture froze for a short time before the game continued on the screen.
Particularly annoying: The hangers increasingly took place in firefights against scavs and other players. If you were caught by a lag at an unfavorable time, the character sometimes cost virtual life and thus often valuable equipment.
Tomorrow, at 12:00 Moscow time, we plan to start installation of the game update 0.12.4.6617 for #EscapefromTarkov. We plan to complete it within three hours – during this time the game will be unavailable

Escape from Tarkov is still in the middle of development, but has been playable via Early Access since 2016. By implementing new content and features, new problems keep arising. Overall, the Performance continuously improved during the alpha and beta phases. The recent stutters are an outlier in this upward trend.
The next patch for EFT should mainly focus on optimization. The last minor update for Escape from Tarkov made some changes to the new weight and endurance feature, which was much criticized by players.
