The actually quite popular loot shooter Outriders suffered from a massive problem on expeditions that annoyed quite a few players. With a new patch this is now a thing of the past.
The expeditions are becoming more attractive again
What’s that problem? If you play the expeditions in Outriders, you will only receive your rewards in the form of loot at the end of the mission. But so far it is possible that the Host the party that kicks playersbefore they get their loot. As you can probably guess, this led to a lot of frustration and trolling.

Outriders: Trolls kick you before you can loot
This of course meant that many players either only played in groups of friends or avoided expeditions where possible. Since the problem had existed since the game’s release in April, it had long been a thorn in the side of many solo players.
What are expeditions? In this endgame content from Outriders, special missions take you to different areas after completing the story of the loot shooter, where special tasks await you. You start the expeditions from your camp.
What is the solution now? The development studio People Can Fly has released a new patch for Outriders. This introduces a kind of blockage through which it is no longer possible to be kicked out of the expedition by the hostbefore you’ve picked up your loot.
Thanks to the bug fix, it is now finally possible to experience the expeditions with strangers without having to worry about not getting any rewards.
What else is in the patch?
The patch brings a few more changes. These include:
- Regional matchmaking was implemented to improve the quality of multiplayer connections.
- The login text has been updated to better reflect the current login step.
- Fixed issues with crashes and memory lags.
The developers also announce that they are currently testing some changes to the drop rate of legendary items to increase the sense of achievement. In addition, the stability of outriders should be optimized. When the next update will appear has not yet been determined.
