Sony has launched a new PlayStation studio and is currently working with naughty dog.

That’s according to a job listing noticed by VGC, which states that the unnamed San Diego studio is working with Uncharted developers on “beloved franchises.”

The job listing is for summer 2023 internships and states the following:

“We are a brand new PlayStation studio based in San Diego, CA. Our team aims to positively impact SIE by stimulating the minds and emotions of players around the world through amazing gaming experiences. We are currently co-developing with Naughty Dog An exciting new project in a beloved franchise.”

This is the second job listing dug up this week that mentions Naughty Dog.

On Wednesday, it was reported that a job site had a vacancy for a senior PlayStation producer. This position is for the “new in-house game development team” in partnership with PSS Visual Arts. The currently unannounced “high profile project” is listed as being developed in partnership with Naughty Dog.

The wording changed after the listing circulated on the internet. Now it reads that Sony is “building a new in-house game development team” and that it is “a world-class team known for their contributions to The Last of Us series”.

The only game Naughty Dog is currently known to be in development is The Last of Us multiplayer, originally planned as part of The Last of Us: Part 2. The new indie game will be as big as Naughty Dog’s single-player game, and it will have a plot. Studio boss Neil Druckman said it will feature new characters and take place in a different location in the United States.

Then again, the studio may also be working on a fantasy production. Only the developers know for sure.
