Even large, experienced development teams always have difficulty balancing weapons and classes in multiplayer shooters. The surprise success The Finals also had to receive repeated criticism in the first few weeks after its release because of supposedly too strong meta loadouts. A lot of things are supposed to be improved with an update, but not all fans are happy.
What changes in the update?
In addition to a few bug fixes, Update 1.4.0 primarily addresses the balance in the multiplayer shooter. There are various changes to weapons, skills and equipment, most notably the Heavy
-Class hit hard (haha). Previously, there were increasing complaints about a tactic in which heavies whizzed across the maps with a rocket launcher and killed opponents with one shot.

What do the fans say?
The changes are well received by many players. So please be happy pix on Twitter over the heavies who were previously perceived as overpowering, while Something is convinced that the changes will make all classes equally strong.
However, some fans also express clear criticism. Write something like this LoveLandlords on Redditthat with the weakening of the heavies, the lights are now significantly too strong, as they simply make themselves invisible and cause chaos with the supposedly too powerful shotgun.
However, this view does not remain uncontroversial either. So replied iWesTCoastiN, that the Lights could get a lot of kills, but offer little strategic value. After all, The Finals is all about securing the goals.
It is currently difficult to say whether the developers will ultimately manage to satisfy all players. Because opinions vary so widely, there may always be a dissatisfied minority.
Are you currently playing The Finals, or have you already put the multiplayer shooter aside? What is your opinion on the balancing issues? Do you think the changes in the last patch make sense? Or do you also think that a certain class still has the upper hand? Feel free to tell us your opinion in the comments!
