The MMORPG New World from Amazon Games is now available on consoles, complete with subtitles. PC gamers will receive a major update in this context.
Amazon Games announced New World: Aeternum at the Summer Game Fest. This is the console version of the MMORPG that is already available for the PC – but PC players will get a major update in this context. But let’s stay with the consoles for now: On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, players will have the opportunity for the first time to check out the action-packed role-playing game along with all the content released for the PC so far. The expansion “Rise of the Angry Earth” is therefore already on board.
In addition, New World: Aeternum also brings with it a wealth of new content that PC players will also have access to. There will be the first extensive PvP zone, a challenging new raid for ten players, solo trials in the endgame, improved leveling, new character archetypes, an improved dialogue system and more.
The creators themselves, in the person of Christoph Hartmann, Vice President of Amazon Games, describe Aeternum as “the end result of years of development with the help of a committed community.” The feedback from players was essential for this.
The console version has been specially adapted for these platforms, but – as mentioned – contains all the features of the PC version. Amazon Games will also enable and support cross-play between the platforms. Target locking, aim assist, a virtual cursor, controller navigation and accessibility should help with this on consoles.
The release of New World: Aeternum is planned for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 15, 2024; you can watch the first trailer below.
