There is good news about New World – in two ways! On the one hand, the economic functions that were temporarily deactivated were reactivated as part of the most recent maintenance work. You should now be able to trade with other players again without any problems, use the auction house and send gold. The problematic gold exploit should now be resolved.
At the same time, numerous changes were announced in a long forum post that affect several components of New World – the PvP mode, the wars and the territorial possessions of companies. You can find out what is planned for the near future in this article.
The announced changes could come at exactly the right time, because New World has had to accept a lot of player losses in the last few weeks:
Declining number of players
New World players are running away, but is that really bad?
PvP, war, territories – that’s about to change
the List of planned changes is not exactly short, so let’s start with our summary:
All changes in PvP
According to the developer, the player-versus-player battle is already in a good position, but there is still some room for improvement here. The bonuses that your character receives for being marked for battle are good during the level phase (+10 percent gain in experience), but in the endgame you want to better rewards for PvP readiness
work.
Two changes are mentioned for the near future: Marked players are supposed to come up with more happiness
be happy (hah!), which is especially helpful when finding rare items. In addition, the equipment of these players is no longer so badly damaged, which should save expensive repair costs in the long term. In the long term, the rewards for defeating opponents at the maximum level should also be improved.
Last but not least, it should be available shortly new PvP missions to bring more variety into the game and to spread the PvP activities further across the game world.
Have you just arrived at the maximum level and are now wondering what to do with your valuable time after the level phase? Then take a look at our endgame guide:

This is planned for the wars
Although the exploits and lags have negatively affected the war experience in the last few weeks, one is in agreement with the situation satisfied
. Although it is often criticized that the wars take place too often, this is viewed differently. Thanks to the 24-hour cooldown, wars would usually take place every two days, which according to the developers as part of
may be.
The balance was also within the desired framework, on average 80 percent of the wars would end in favor of the defenders – which was also the goal.
However, the two major problem areas are Communication and coordination on the battlefield. Here one would like to make improvements in the future so that teams can better coordinate and differentiate allies from enemies. However, these changes should not be expected anytime soon.
Agreement is all well and good, but that too strong communication between players and developers can also have negative consequences, Elena explains in her column on the problems of New World:
column
New World should never have listened to the players
That should change with the territories
Here, too, they are initially satisfied with the status quo. The ownership of the individual territories changes at regular intervals and is well distributed between the factions on the respective servers.
Two changes have been planned here: Players can soon change the faction, but not over to the dominant one so as not to endanger the balance. In addition, one will gain the influence of the supposed Underdogs
increase, which you get for completed PvP missions, so that war can be declared faster. One would also like to lend a hand on tax income, which fluctuates strongly between the territories.
What is your opinion on the announced changes? Does this all sound sensible to you, or do you see the construction sites in completely different areas of the gameplay? Let us know in the comments!
