Like other plants you can harvest, to collect resources from the petal cap, you need at least a flint sickle for your character.
Like other semi-rare resources in the New World, the Petal Hat may be difficult to find at first. However, once you understand where you need to look, you can start grinding a lot of content quickly, because each node harvests more than one item.

Where can I find petal hats in the new world
You can find Fronded Petalcap in any forest area throughout the new worldHowever, its generation frequency is much lower than other common nodes such as bushes or cannabis.
However, you can definitely find petal caps in a few early areas, and once you know what to look for, you can find further afield more easily.
Windsward Village Petal Cap location
One place where Fronded Petalcap seems to be generated is near water.
Just west of Windsward Village, there is a small pond where you can learn to fish. But if you only need a small amount of potion, the petal cap seems to lay eggs on the east side of this water.
Cooper Ranch petal cap position
If you want to grind more things for greater handcrafting, then you can find many Fronded Petalcap nodes in the forest area around Cooper’s Ranch.
In the northwest of Windsward Village, if you walk around the pasture, you will see many different petal cap plants for harvest.
How to turn the petal cover into a spoilage tincture
In the new world, you make most potions in the arcane warehouses in camps or towns.
If you don’t want to spend your resources on a new camp, there are usually resources made by other players outside of any built-up areas you can use.
The petal cap can be used as a soil reagent or a protective reagent, so to make a corrosive tincture, you only need to mix it with a water reagent to brew a potion.
