In the face of massive problems and dwindling player numbers, the developers of the Amazon MMO New World are reacting and setting up a public test area.
In view of the not just a few problems that New World is struggling with, the developers now apparently want to involve the community more closely in upcoming updates. At the end of today, anyone with a copy of New World will find the New World Public Test Realm application in their Steam library. The PTR servers will officially open on November 10th at 9 p.m. The servers are limited – at the start there will be a world in the east of the US and a world in central Europe.
Future updates will be presented to the community on this PTR, which will then have the opportunity to examine the features before the release and to give appropriate feedback. After the respective update has been published, the PTR will be deactivated again until the next time.
Some features are already planned for the upcoming update, which you can take a closer look at. These include new enemy types and new enemies, new enemy quests, legendary weapon quests, main story quest optimizations, PvP faction missions and changes to trading posts. More details about the PTR and the new features can be found on the official website.
