As May is coming to an end, Amazon Games is once again delivering a fresh update for its in-house MMO New World. We tell you here what you can expect.
The May update for the online role-playing game New World has now been made available by Amazon Games and again brings changes to the content of the game. The most important new feature is the introduction of 3v3 PvP arenas, in which you can compete in teams of 3 in best-of-5 battles. As a reward, the winners of such a game expect not only glory, but also riches in the form of unique housing items and more.
But that’s not all, as separate from this PvP feature, further innovations are being introduced, including a tracker for PvP rewards with two new currencies, new expedition mutators, quality of life updates and more.
The most important other features in addition to the 3v3 PvP arenas are officially stated as follows:
- The Depths are now part of the weekly Expedition Mutator rotation, offering new challenges and endgame rewards to Aeternum. Additionally, three new mutation types have been added to the pool: overgrown, barbaric, and fiendish.
- Follow the story of the Varangian Knights and their quest for power. Players will encounter four new Varangian enemies in Episode 2: the Crusher, Lancer, Bloodhound, and Mage.
- Player-chosen pronouns now appear around chat. For example, when using an emote, the preferred pronoun is taken into account and displayed.
The major update Heart of Madness for the MMORPG New World can now be played. In the update, the current main story will be completed and players will face Isabella in the new Heart of Stormwind expedition. A new weapon, the blunderbuss, also makes its way into the game.
