The NFL stays with DAZN: Shortly before the start of the season, the conditions for the time after the next Super Bowl have already been clarified. Another station will broadcast on free TV from 2023.
- DAZN will retain broadcasting rights to the NFL beyond 2023.
- From next year there will be more exclusivity for DAZN customers.
- There is a change of channel on free TV – ProSieben is out.
DAZN is already showing all NFL games on the night of Friday (2.20 a.m.), Monday (2.20 a.m.) and Tuesday (2.15 a.m.), as well as a selection of live games on the night from Sunday to Monday. There is also the American conference RedZone and the linear channel NFL Network.
You can also follow the entire playoffs, including the conference finals and of course the Super Bowl, on DAZN. If you don’t want to stay up all night, you can also follow the games live on the platform during prime time the next day.
The new agreement also includes an innovation in the NFL broadcast calendar on DAZN. From the next 23/24 season, DAZN will exclusively broadcast one game each Sunday from the early (7 p.m.) and late kick-off time (10:25 p.m.). These games will not be shown on free TV. But there is a change of channel for that season. RTL will replace ProSiebenSat.1 in 2023 and was able to secure an extensive rights package.
RTL takes over in free TV
There you can look forward to up to three live games per week, which will run on RTL and Nitro, as well as an additional weekly exclusive game on RTL+. The Super Bowl and the Germany Game, which will be played in Munich for the first time this year between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with superstar Tom Brady and the Seattle Seahawks, will also be broadcast on German free TV via RTL next year.
Also interesting…
In the season that starts this weekend, however, everything will remain the same. ProSiebenSat.1 is still on the trigger until February and DAZN anyway. In the case of RTL, the term of the new agreement is dated to 2028. DAZN initially made statements.
