This morning, Niantic announced that starting today, players can conduct Pokemon Go remote raids during self-quarantine.
After the news came out, fans began to look for clever alternatives to regular raids-for example, a group of Italian players found a way to get raid rewards without leaving the house. Given that raids are an essential part of the Pokemon Go player experience, remote raids allow trainers around the world to play their favorite games, just as normal now.
As an additional reward, Niantic announced the Pokemon Go remote raid pass celebration, during which Darkrai, Altered Forme Giratina and Virizion will be encountered during the 5th raid. This will be a welcome to fans who have grown rapidly with the popularity of Landorus in the layer 5 scene (of course, see this Reddit post below):
Another friendly reminder is that Randolles is almost impossible to be caught and is a punishment, not just a reward for the Pokemon Battle Alliance
Of course, the chance of brightening the new 5-layer spin is greatly improved, so if you want to shine Darkrai, there is now a chance. The breakdown of each round is as follows (all times in PDT):
- From 1:00 pm on April 28 (Tuesday) to 1:00 pm on May 5 (Tuesday), Darkrai will provide a five-star raid inspection
- From 1pm on May 5 (Tuesday) to 1pm on May 12 (Tuesday), Altered Forme Giratina will conduct a five-star raid
- From 1PM on Tuesday, May 12 to 1PM on Tuesday, May 19, Virizion will provide a five-star raid inspection
At present, all this information has been provided in the game, and another notice interrupts the logistics of the remote raid, which is likely to be launched later today.
This is not the only change made to Pokemon Go to improve playability during quarantine. About two weeks ago, "Pokemon Go Battle League" won the official rankings, and in the wider news of "Pokemon", it was announced that "Pokemon Journey: Series" will be discontinued later this year.
