In addition to the Marvel Studios and Sony projects, Spider-Man will land on Amazon Prime Video with Spider-Man Noir, the spin-off series focused on the most enigmatic and curious character that appeared in Sony’s animated saga starring Miles Morales.
Now, through an interview with the American media The New Yorker, Nicolas Cagewho will play this character, revealed more information about the series. He explained that, although there will be good enemies, it will be a production far from fights and much more focused on mystery and police matters.
If I’m doing this show, it’s because it’s something different. It’s more of a pop art mash-up, like a Lichtenstein painting, where I want to do something that has some spark. It’s fun to watch. It’s not going to be Pig; it’s not going to be Dream Man. But how many of those can you find? I’m lucky to have found them in my mid-50s. One of the things I like about this potential show is that it’s fantasy. It’s not really people beating people up. There are monsters involved.”
The well-known American actor also confirmed that the series would consist of eight episodes in total, something that is already a tradition on Amazon Prime Video. Although he did not want to give many details about the release date to avoid problems in case of future delays.
While Prime Video is confident in this enigmatic series, the company decided several months ago to scrap another project in the Spider-Man universe: SilkThe series had undergone several creative reboots and the platform decided to cut it short and is looking for an external production company that wants to buy the rights to the project.
