To celebrate the 35th anniversary hand-held gaming device system, Nintendo Switch Online Members can play the latest three original games added to the game library.
The Game Boy launched in 1989, followed by Alleyway, Baseball, and Super Mario Land, the first Super Mario game on the system.
Now, Nintendo Switch Online members can play these three original games as the latest additions to the Game Boy – Nintendo Switch Online library on the occasion of the handheld console’s 35th anniversary.
super mario land The story takes place in the picturesque kingdom of Sarasalan, where you’ll travel through ancient ruins, float through choppy waters, and take on challenges. As Mario, you will run, jump, and bounce as you perform missions to rescue Princess Daisy from mysterious aliens and restore peace to the earth. The game also features unique gameplay, including Super Mario power-ups and levels where Mario flies planes and submarines.
baseball is a 1989 Game Boy classic in which you throw a series of fastballs while adjusting curve and velocity – just don’t wear out your pitcher. Strike out the opposing team and then it’s your turn to bat. As a batter, you move batters to home plate and time incoming hits. Strategize your team’s actions and you might just taste victory.
alley The task is to use bouncing energy balls to demolish blocks and earn points along the way. As Mario, you’ll pilot your spaceship around alley doorways and destroy the space grid by deflecting energy balls toward them. Keep your ship moving and the ball in play until every block is cleared to complete the stage. As you pass each level, you’ll encounter challenging alternating stages, bonus rounds, and more. Speed and quick reflexes will be your strongest allies.
