In a few hours, Big N is launching its Nintendo Direct Special E3 2021. Important information has been released by the company’s Japanese office and it worries anyone who wants to share this special moment live with their community.

Nintendo published a press release on Twitter that surprised more than one. The Kyoto company demands that Nintendo Direct not be streamed from this Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
[お願い] Please refrain from mirroring Nintendo Direct video and audio during the live broadcast of Nintendo Direct. Simultaneous viewing distribution without mirror distribution is possible. After Nintendo Direct distributes live, you can post a video that covers the d istributed video, as long as the content complies with the guidelines.

[Demande] Please refrain from streaming Nintendo Direct video and audio together while it is being streamed live. It is possible to film yourself responding to Nintendo Direct. After the Nintendo Direct livestream, you can post a video that will manage the distributed video, as long as the content follows our guidelines.
In other words, please do not broadcast any of the event at the same time, just wait for it to finish. Surprising and a little creepy. But we could understand that Nintendo doesn’t want videos that are barely encoded or poor quality trailers, with a nice logo to prove their origin, to arrive on the web and put on its back.
It’s fun to stay in the DMCA
Shared content guidelines exist since 2018. They state that “acceptable” content shouldn’t be mere repetition. You have to “comment” and “contribute creatively”. Perhaps it is these rules that must be applied and that any broadcaster like us that we love to follow for a professional press is not stripped off. For now, only the Japanese account has imposed this ban.
Anyway, we always give you an appointment at 5.30 p.m. for a Nintendo Direct, which we hope will be a nice final bouquet of this E3 2021.
