Nintendo Joins Fight Against Coronavirus by Donating Masks. The Japanese brand has united in the cause against the Coronavirus that plagues the world and has donated a large amount of medical equipment that will surely save many lives.
As reported in northbendwaNintendo has donated 9,500 skins to Eastside Fire & Rescue, a Washington state emergency service in the United States. Nintendo representative Jerry Danson contacted Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R) to generously donate over 9,500 N95 respirators.
N95 masks and other personal protective equipment are among the most requested items by first aid teams and healthcare providers.
Danson stated that the masks were originally purchased for emergency preparedness planning; however, in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, he knew they were needed elsewhere. Eastside Fire & Rescue staff will distribute the masks throughout the region to address immediate needs, including the city of North Bend.
