What will the Switch 2 look like? Leaked images of a possible prototype could give a first impression!
Speculation about the Switch 2 is picking up speed again these days after a few weeks of silence. Recently, there was talk that the new hardware could even have two screens, but that doesn’t seem to be the case – at least if the leaked images are actually accurate.
Alleged images of the prototype design of the Switch successor have now leaked online. The material first appeared on Chinese social media sites before finally finding its way to Reddit. The template for the CAD renderings is said to have been a model purchased at great expense from an accessories manufacturer, which was then implemented in the CAD renderings.
If the prototypes are true and the final design of the Switch 2 is true, then some rumors from the past will be confirmed – although not the one about a console with two screens. However, the Switch 2 would then actually have a larger screen, new magnetically attached Joy-Cons and several USB-C ports.

Overall, the new Switch appears to retain the look of the previous Switch model by and large. The stand design from the OLED model is also set to return.
Aside from the design, new alleged specifications are also making the rounds online. According to them, the Switch 2 is said to have 12 GB of RAM, support for HDMI 2.1 and 256 GB of internal storage space. The support for HDMI 2.1 in particular also underlines earlier speculations about 4K support for the console.
It remains to be seen whether these rumors turn out to be true. An announcement of the Switch 2 may be expected in the coming weeks.
