Nintendo Switch 2: The latest rumors about the presentation date and release

When will the Switch 2 finally be presented and when will it be released? New rumors are now making the rounds again!

Nintendo wants to officially present the Nintendo Switch 2 in the current financial year, i.e. by March 31, 2025, and then also announce a release date. When exactly should it happen? There have been many rumors about this in the past, but in the end they weren't really confirmed.

Most recently it was said – and this is a likely scenario – that Nintendo will wait until next year 2025 to introduce the platform in order not to spoil the current Christmas business with the current Switch. A new rumor now follows this line and brings a new potential presentation period and release period for the console into play.

So reported CentroLeaksan insider account that focuses on leaks and rumors surrounding Pokémon and has been pretty reliable in the past that the Switch 2 will be unveiled in January 2025. What's surprising is that Nintendo is supposed to announce a release in March 2025, i.e. at the end of the current financial year and earlier than many recently expected. Will it really happen like that?

Another insider from China also reports on this timetable via Weibo. It should be noted that the same Chinese insider had already leaked most of the announcements from the last Nintendo Direct in advance, without attracting much attention in Western reporting.

There should be a certain degree of reliability in the latest insider reports, but there is currently no official confirmation or certainty. Previous leaks in this regard sometimes seemed to have a good chance of happening, but in the end they didn't.
