Nintendo has further expanded the Switch Online offer and now offers you four additional classics from previous SEGA times.
Anyone who has subscribed to the more expensive level of the Switch Online Expansion Pack will have access to four more classics from the SEGA Genesis era from Nintendo. These are Crusader of Centy, Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Landstalker and The Revenge of Shinobi; 16-bit games have recently become available for download through the online service for the Switch, bringing the total to 44 SEGA Genesis games on the platform.
Crusader of Centy was released in the West in 1995 and was developed by Nextech. The game draws much of its inspiration from The Legend of Zelda and focuses on the young warrior Corona – a 14-year-old boy who can talk to various animals.
Ghouls ‘n Ghosts is Capcom’s sequel to Ghosts ‘n Goblins. The SEGA Genesis port of the Arthur story is an extremely challenging side-scrolling action-adventure that will require a lot of patience.
Landstalker appeared in the west in 1993 and was praised for its isometric action-adventure gameplay. The title is considered the spiritual predecessor to the Alundra games released for the original PlayStation.
Last but not least, The Revenge of Shinobi was a console sequel to the arcade original Shinobi that lived on a soundtrack by composer Yuzo Koshiro. Plenty of side-scrolling action in ninja format awaits you here too.
