In July, Nintendo has another update to the Switch Online game line-up. This time, three rather rare GBA classics are joining the ranks.
Nintendo is adding new titles to the Switch Online service in July, after previously offering subscribers a few more NES classics. Now there are three more classics from the days of the Game Boy Advance that can definitely be described as rare. The reason: up until now, these games were reserved exclusively for the Japanese market.
Now, thanks to Switch Online, gamers in the West also have the chance to take a closer look at the three GBA classics. They all come from the Starfy franchise, which is only known in these parts from a later DS title from 2009, as this game was the only one in the franchise that was not exclusive to Japan.
Specifically, the three previous spin-offs Densetsu no Starfy, Densetsu no Starfy 2 and Densetsu no Starfy 3 will be available on Switch Online starting today, July 12th. If Nintendo subsequently decides to make DS games available via Switch Online, there is a good chance that The Legendary Starfy will follow suit.
You can see the three GBA classics in action in the trailer for the new release on Switch Online.
