stardew valley is the next free game trial for Nintendo Switch Online.

The game will be available for free trial from June 13th to 19th. Currently, it is only confirmed in Australia, Europe and Japan. We’ll let you know if or when it’s available in other regions.

Stardew Valley was a huge blow to indie developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone. Since its release in 2016, more than 20 million copies have been sold worldwide (13 million on PC alone), and sales of the game continue to grow every day.

Currently available on nearly every platform, the game puts you in the role of a thankless job inheriting your grandfather’s farm. As a novice farmer, your biggest task is to clean up the place and restore it to its former glory.

As you create a working farm, you’ll interact with the townspeople, earn everyone’s reputation, and date some or all of the singles. You’ll also delve into dangerous mines to harvest stones, metals, and gems for crafting buildings and various items. Growing food will give you the ingredients you need to make delicious food that can be sold, given as gifts, or used to help boost certain abilities. The game will also test your animal husbandry skills. The closer you are to your animals, the better they will produce.

In addition to villages, mines and towns, you can visit places other than farms. You can take a bus to the desert and go deep into the area’s rather dangerous desert mines, or take a boat to Ginger Island to explore caves, grow different crops and take part in new missions.

Had a great time in Stardew Valley and it wasn’t too stressful, so if you haven’t tried it out and are a Switch Online subscriber, the free trial is the perfect opportunity to try it out. Plus, in our opinion, it has the best fishing mechanics compared to any game with such components on the market.
