Nintendo is heaving the Switch with a new update to the next major firmware version 12.0.0. What changes?
You can now perform a new system update on your switch. After the download, the console firmware will be version number 12.0.0. One might think that this is a big step from the previous version 11.0.1. But although the jump to the next full digit suggests major innovations, unfortunately comparatively little has changed.

Accordingly, the new model runs under “Aula” with the code name “nx-abcd”. The Switch Lite is called “Hoag” and “nx-abcc” for comparison.
