nintendo is hosting a small Direct entirely focused on showing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Game tomorrow.
Starting tomorrow, March 28th at 3pm BST/4pm CEST/10am/, Nintendo will be showing around 10 minutes of the Tears of Kingdoms gameplay on the company’s YouTube channel. Unsurprisingly, it will be hosted by series producer Eiji Aonuma. This marks the first time Nintendo will actually show the game in action, rather than through the means of seemingly camera angles that the final game won’t actually use. As with Nintendo’s lessons, the announcement doesn’t share much more, so you’ll have to tune in to really see for yourself.
Back at February’s Nintendo Direct, we got a fresh look at the game, which gave a more complete look at what kind of gameplay features we can expect from the upcoming sequel. It showed off some new stuff, like what appeared to be customizable vehicles, orbital grinding for Sonic the Hedgehog, and a new type of auto-aiming arrow. Maybe tomorrow we’ll see more action!
What fans really want to know is whether or not Zelda will be a playable character, though I doubt Nintendo will spoil such a thing in the game’s demo.
Another big change is the game’s price tag: most Switch games have an MSRP of around £50, but Tears of the Kingdom raised the price to £60, a price Nintendo says it believes will be worth it.
Aonuma also recently shared, rather cryptically, that in the sequel, “the player’s free imagination will be filled with new gameplay that will bring changes to the game world,” whatever that means. Maybe he’ll tell us more about it tomorrow.
