The Chinese manufacturer Nio announces its entry into the luxury segment with the presentation of the ET9 at Nio Days. The electric car is packed with technology.

Nio is a manufacturer of electric cars that is still largely unknown in this country. The Chinese company, whose market launch in Germany Netzwelt was on site, attracted attention through its replaceable battery strategy. The idea is gaining momentum.
At the Nio Day in Xi’an, China, the company presented the flagship model ET9 in front of invited German users, reaching for it right at the top of the shelf.
The newly introduced NIO ET9 integrates the latest research and development achievements and presents a package of flagship exterior, spacious interior, immersive experience, efficient charging and intelligent technologies.

With the limousine, Nio is targeting business customers who want to be as comfortable as possible. With an impressive length of 5.32 meters and a wheelbase of 3.25 meters, there is space for four individual seats. According to the manufacturer, the rear seats alone have 24 technologies patented by Nio. Charging should also be particularly fast and progressive.
Battery replacement in 3 minutes, charging in 5 minutes
Thanks to a 900-volt architecture, the electric car can theoretically store enough electricity in its batteries for a range of 255 kilometers within five minutes. Or drivers use one of the fully automated battery exchange stations. These are also available in Germany and are somewhat reminiscent of car washes.
Within a few minutes, the entire battery of the electric car is replaced with a fully charged one. At Nio Day, Nio presented the fourth generation of these swap stations, which are now able to swap batteries even faster, within three minutes.
Buy Nio ET 9: Price and availability
The market launch for the is official Nine ET9 scheduled for 2025. Nevertheless, the electric car can already be pre-ordered in China for a price equivalent to around 100,000 dollars.
