Therefore, you decide to play Nioh 2. In medieval Japan, the first hard stop for any possible samurai to make progress was Enki, a magnificent monkey Yokai, wielding a deadly spear and a fierce temper.
Although Enki is ubiquitous in the vast darkness, it is actually not the boss of Nioh 2. It is not a middle boss. Enki is just a normal enemy-a tough enemy-but throughout the rest of the game you will still encounter multiple normal Yokai.
This means you need to learn how to effectively defeat them. The main skills that this battle teaches you in early games are what attacks you can stop, and how to use blast countermeasures at a critical juncture.
How to beat Enki in Nioh 2
I've embedded a video on how to play this game in the first blind run of Nioh 2, and although it's not perfect, it lets you know what you need to do.
The key to this fight is the blockade. Although it is twice as large as a silver-backed gorilla, in fact, you can easily stop most of Enki's attacks with your main weapon. This is true for many enemies in Nioh 2-even the boss. Don't be afraid to throw blocks at a pinch.
With the speed and stress that Enki brings you, you can easily panic and be crushed. Be aware that even at this early stage, your character's lockers have enough power to overcome this test-stay calm and look for patterns.
As for strategy, try to stay on the brink of his three-strike melee combo range. You can block all three hits, but it will drain your stamina. But you don't need to actively avoid either. If you're at the end of Enki's attack range, you can avoid the ultimate thrust of his combo with just a regular walk.
Then you can rush and rush out, but it's risky.
This is your main opening when he stands up and throws his spear. You can stop the spear from throwing or stepping aside. I didn't actually do this in the video, but it was very safe to roll over and attack him when he landed.
Your other major opportunity is a burst counter.
He can perform three Burst Counters: one Burst Counter, and he has to do a long overhead blow before he wields a spear. He fell hard with a spear. He then entered the full WWE and made a home run.
At this point in the game, you can try to easily interrupt the first two games with your own Burst Counter-the timing of the third game is tricky, I just want to avoid it.
One of the attacks to watch out for is Enki's dark realm. This is where his hands are blurred. These attacks from all enemies are unstoppable, so take a step back when it comes out.
Finally, you will encounter Enki in tight spaces, and spacing can be difficult. Note that you can scroll forward (press the dash twice) or sprint (press and hold the dash) past Enki to reposition yourself when safe. This will prevent you from getting into trouble.
