Hello Games announces its space survival game no man’s sky In development for PlayStation VR2.
Three years ago, the studio released the Beyond update, which added a virtual reality experience to the game. Beyond is available for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and PlayStation VR, and Beyond is available as a free update to the game.
Now, the team is working on bringing No Man’s Sky to PlayStation VR2.
For the original PSVR, the studio rebuilt the game from scratch. This includes cockpits, control systems, land vehicles, menu systems, interfaces, teleportation controls, terrain manipulation, warping effects, and more.
Hello Games believes the PlayStation 5, combined with the PSVR2 and Sense controllers, will “raise a few major levels” of immersion and believability.
The studio will be talking more about the specific features of No Man’s Sky for PSVR2 in the coming months.
No Man’s Sky’s new expedition was released recently. Dubbed the Leviathan, it traps the Traveler in a time loop that struggles to adapt to the Survival Mode setting.
Over the next few weeks, this roguelike expedition lets you explore the cycle you’ll recover from fragments of memory. These missing remnants of previous loops appear to be procedurally generated techniques, meaning that each reset of the loop can be played differently. You can cooperate with other players to “balance the odds”.
