Game news No Man’s Sky: To mark the game’s fifth anniversary, the Frontiers update talks about it
It’s now been five years since Hello Games officially released No Man’s Sky. In five years, the teams behind the game have been filling the loopholes in a shipwreck that could have turned into drama for the studio. Nonetheless, after tireless monitoring of the game and no fewer than sixteen updates, the game is finally what it dreams of. Well, not quite yet.
In an article from the PlayStation blog, Hello Games founder Sean Murray looked back on five years of hard work that just passed for his teams and whose work clearly lifted No Man’s Sky out of the water.
Sean Murray says it himself: The journey around following up the game has been no walk in the park. But in the difficulty, the support of the players and the community had a real impact on the motivation of the teams and on the quality of the successive updates.
A journey that will soon be marked by a new stage, that of the official start of the next update entitled Frontiers, which Sean Murray elicited briefly in a tweet accompanied by a video clip showing the game’s development over five years.

For the founder of Hello Games, Some No Man’s Sky updates have significant meaning and stand out from the rest
Last year the game was released on the next generation consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X | S released to be another step in the No Man’s Sky makeover process. With the year 2022 fast approaching, the Hello Games and Sean Murray teams are looking to the future and especially to Frontiers. An update that seems just as important.
I’m really looking forward to our next update, Frontiers. In some ways it’s just another update, but in other ways it’s a missing piece of science fiction that we’ve always wanted to add and that is very fitting for our five year anniversary.
There are still many things that we would like to try, many things that we are still looking forward to. The next stop on this journey is not far. We’ll be sharing more information about Frontiers with travelers shortly. – Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games Studios
As we near 2022, developers are getting more and more impatient to reveal more. With the next conferences coming up, perhaps No Man’s Sky will reveal the secrets of its seventeenth update.
