Money cheaters from GTA Online must fear for their character. Like the rock star insider Tez2 Announced on Twitter, the developer of Red Dead Redemption 2 is vehemently taking action against players who had used the relatively new "casino chip glitch" in multiplayer mode of GTA 5.
So players have had in the past few weeks cheated several million of the in-game currencywithout investing game time or real money for the so-called "Shark Cards". On YouTube and Reddit, numerous instructions and guides for the casino chip glitch made the rounds.
Rockstar is in process of resetting #GTAOnline characters, progress and inventory of all the players who have done the casino chip glitch aka the latest money glitch.

Rockstar is more vehement against money cheaters
It is a relatively severe punishment, after Rockstar had only taken ownership or in-game credit from cheaters and glitch users in the past – but never reset all character progress.
However, this did not stop fraudsters from cheating money again in the same – or different – ways, which is why Rockstar is likely to take more rigorous measures now.
At the time of publication of the article, Rockstar had updated its Q&A on GTA Online and made it clear that one is differentiated among the money cheaters. For example, some players who took advantage of the glitch in question could get away more easily and don't necessarily have to worry about their complete account progress.
