No one can find Breath of the Wild fan favorite in Tears of the Wild

Almost every character from Breath of the Wild returns in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but one character is suspiciously absent.

When I say nearly every character returns, I mean it. You have big names like Riju from Gerudo Town, Sidon from Zora’s Domain, and even Purah is back, albeit a little older now (leading to an unsatisfied thirst for some). You’ll even find NPCs whose names you almost certainly don’t remember, as well as a host of new characters like fashionista Cece and Zonai investigation leader Tauro. So where is Hyrule’s best bard, the one and only Cass?

Cass is an incredibly iconic character in Breath of the Wild, not least because of the soothing accordion tones you hear in the world of Hyrule. While he does build up some backstory and history, he’s not a major part of the first game’s main quest, and he’s pretty important in the Champion’s Ballad DLC. But so far, fans haven’t found him, and they’re starting to worry.

Tear of Kingdoms is obviously a huge game, so it’s definitely possible that no one has encountered him. Though the game sold over 10 million copies in just three days, so you’d think someone might have found the bard bird. There are several references to him in the game, by his wife, children, and another character, but never by name.

Many fans have expressed concern about his disappearance, and I share the same sentiment – it’s a bit sad not to hear his accordion, so I can only hope he’ll be brought back in some sort of DLC. Maybe we couldn’t find him because none of us explored the map enough (maybe we need a guide to all the Skyview Tower locations to help us do so).
